I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
As unfortunate as it may seem the Global Pandemic aka COVID-19 has left everyone in dismay, however, midst all this is some news for the gaming community that might spark hope. For those who have been wondering about the launch of the upcoming Microsoft’s Xbox Series X, being affected by this Global Pandemic, they need not worry. According to the head of Xbox Phil Spencer, while there are still a lot of hinders that may serve a role in delaying the launch date, they are working and trying to make it happen.
This he said in a recent and expanded interview with IGN. A range of other things also got discussed during that interview however, this was something that needed answers. Now the next question one might ask is the fact that while it’s all fine and dandy trying to reach the launch date of Xbox Series X but what about the safety of the personals and employees involved in making it happen?
On that very note, Spencer has made it clear that it is not only his but the company’s utmost priority to keep the safety of all the individuals and various teams involved.
“There’s no decision that I will make – or frankly anybody at Microsoft would even ask me to make – that would compromise the safety and security of the teams for a near-term financial or product gain,” Spencer said.
Furthermore, he added that the manufacturing capacity in China did experience a small delay, especially in the sections of the supply chain but now things are starting to come back into play.
“We can see in the factories and stuff we’re starting to get things back from them and that’s working for us,” he revealed.
Be that as it may, while that might spark hope among the fans of Xbox that launch date of Xbox Series X might make it, Spencer did add a statement of ambiguity as well. Saying that at the moment nothing is set to stone since we are not sure where this Pandemic is headed.
“We have nothing right now that says we’re not gonna make the dates that we’ve been planning, but I’ll also say that’s kind of real-time stuff and I am gonna put the safety and security of the teams at the top, along with a quality product.”
With all that said, it is very much understandable that this launch can get delayed. Microsoft has put the news of delays in Xbox Series X and its titles out in the open already. According to Spencer, things are pretty stretched at the moment.
Interesting as it may seem, he did say they have Plan B for the launch as well, adding that they do not believe in staggering launches. Which is something he said they have learned through the launch of Xbox One.
So let’s hope that whatever happens, everyone just survives this pandemic and alongside the launch takes place in the safest way possible. Why? because this launch would mean a lot of hope for the gaming community if not the world that thing can still go on.
