As you may already know that recently the much anticipated Netflix TV Series The Witcher has debuted and much to the anticipation it has stood up to the mark. Up till now the reception of this season has been quite positive. On top of that Netflix has already ordered for its next season a little while back. While all that is pretty nice to hear, what is really interesting is the fact that upon the release of the season, a player surge has been detected on the Steam charts as well as the console charts of The Witcher 3.

This was made known by the tracking website “PlayerTracker“. After a long time, the game has hit 48K concurrent players on Steam alone. This level of activity has not been seen since the release of the last DLC of The Witcher 3, Blood and Wine all the way back in 2016. Furthermore, PlayerTracker has also added that apart from the Steam, there has also been a significant uptick in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. According to them, about a million users have been recorded to have played The Witcher 3 this month.

So it would not be wrong to assume that The Witcher fans really wanted to more of Geralt and the Netflix TV Series the Witcher served the cause right by sparking the kind of nostalgia and a reason for the fans to get back on their platforms to once again feel the amazingness of the game.

Be that as it may, what is even more captivating is that the developer company of this game in context, CD Projekt RED has recently signed a new agreement with the author of this amazing saga, Andrzej Sapkwoski. Which evidently suggests a new development in the game. However, much to the excitement, it might take some time before things actually materialize, in this section as the developing company is currently busy rolling out their next much-anticipated title, Cyberpunk 2077 which slated to roll out on April 16th, 2020.

However, stay tuned for upcoming, news, rumors and leaks regarding The Witcher 3 and the Netflix TV Series the Witcher.
