I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
A little while back, Rockstar Games put up advertisements for several new jobs, that include, Animated System Programmer and long with the company has added that they are working on a large open-world character-based games. This pretty much points towards the next Grand Theft Auto, GTA 6 to be under development but since we do not have any confirmation, it could also include other titles that are in demand by the fans.
The developers said,
We are looking for an experienced, talented engineer to help us in developing advanced animation systems for large open-world character-based games. We are a global team of programmers and researchers who collaborate on pushing the boundaries of character animation on next-generation hardware.
Furthermore, the job advertisement also places emphasis on characters, specifically adding that the candidate having experience of working on AAA character-based titles will be prioritized. So this only adds more evidence since GTA is a well known AAA title of Rockstar if anything else.
A little while back, the developer of Crackdown 2 Ruffian Games also revealed that they are working on many unannounced titles with Rockstar. What is interesting is the fact that they have previously worked on games like Manhunt as well as Grand Theft Auto. So their relationship with Rockstar goes way way back and since they both have worked on GTA before, it does add the reason for them developing the next GTA.
With all that said, the development of GTA 6 is practically a given but if rumors are to also be considered then, some much-requested sequels to games like Bully and a new L.A Noire title might also considerably be in the works. However, for now, all of this should be considered as mere speculation and until we hear any official news from the devs we can not be certain.
