The upcoming Mortal Kombat Reboot, helmed by Simon McQuoid, has stirred quite a lot of excitement among the fans. As you may all know that this title takes its inspiration from the video game title. That is why gamer fans are also very much hyped up about this film adaptation. Having said that just recently, the Greg Russo, the screenwriter of Mortal Kombat reboot, has announced the parental rating of this upcoming reboot.

Russo shared this news over at Twitter where he added it to be Rated-R. He also added that the film will feature fatalities along with dramatic finishing moves that would resemble the ones in the game.

“Since it’s already been stated by other members of the team, I’m gonna put this one to bed. MK WILL be R-Rated and for the first time EVER, FATALITIES will FINALLY be on the big screen (and no I’m not gonna say which ones). You’ll just have to wait for the movie and see,”.

Having said that while Simon McQuoid is directing the film, James Wan is producing it, along with, Michael Clear, Todd Garner and Jeremy Stein. Moreover, Lawrence Kasanoff is the executive producer of this film, along with E Bennett Walsh, Michael Clear and Sean Robins.

Be that as it may, while not many details are known about Mortal Kombat Reboot in terms of Parental Rating, but we all pretty much know what rated R actually means.

For those who do not know, the film, follows the game’s classic characters, like Liu Kang and Johnny Cage, who are invited in a tournament on a mysterious island. Where they find out that the fate of the world hands in the balance.

So definitely the excitement is pretty real. Let’s hope the film turns out to be as promising as it should be.
