Bethesda’s E3 2019 Press Conference did manage to catch some interest of the fans but among some other concerns raised is the one that addresses the elephant in the room. The Fallout 76 Battle Royale termed as Nuclear Winter. Do we really need another battle royale? Is this the scope of Bethesda? For a development company that has given us so many amazing titles, this seems a little desperate.

With that being said, when Todd Howard of Bethesda took to the stage, he showed off these new Fallout 76 updates. That includes a new battle royale mode, Nuclear Winter and the Wastelanders update. Wastelanders update will re-introduce a dedicated story and will add NPCs to interact with. Moreover, Fallout 76 will also have a free trial period from June 10 to June 17.

While all of this seems pretty promising but do we really need another battle royale? When Fallout 76 originally rolled out, it received quite a lot of criticism and mostly mixed reviews. However, the devs have been steadily trying to undo the wrong they have done. The problem is that no one actually knows what’s actually went wrong with the game. So for the past few months, they have been trying to improve the game.

Seemingly they have improved but with a battle royale, they have just lost the charisma the studio had. Of course, this an opinion and many may differ from it. That said, the way Bethesda had been endorsing Fallout 76 before its actual release, got us thinking that it was going to be something very different. Unfortunately, it was not and now it seems Bethesda just want to recover the expenses of failure they made.

Still, fingers are crossed, let’s hope that this Fallout 76 Battle Royale Nuclear Winter pans out the way Bethesda intends it to.

I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
