I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
Well starting off if you have seen the Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 also referred to as The Battle Of Winterfell then you certainly have your heart already pumping at a high rate. Not only has this episode stood up to everyone’s expectations but rather it has surpassed with flying colors. After this episode, we can without any doubt say that this TV Show is the best show that has been bestowed on mankind.
This latest episode has left us shattered, mesmerized, devastated and overwhelmed, which is what we all wanted and expected. This longest recorded episode of Game of Thrones opens scenes with a lot of subtlety and calmness, all which in a dark setting. Hence the saying, “The night is always darkest before the dawn.” However, this one was a little extra dim, which was just pitch perfect for the setting of the battle.
To be honest such words have not been invented that could completely define, what we saw in the Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 The Battle Of Winterfell. So we start with the reveal of Azor Ahai. There was so much going on that not many were able to predict the return of a legendary hero in the form of Arya Stark. However, one can not argue the fact that there have been considerate amoung to hints throughout the TV show, implying that Arya could be the hero who would defeat the Night King. That she would unexpectedly turn the Night King into thousand pieces of ice.
For the most part, we have been hinted towards the fact that the prophesied hero’s name would start with the letter “A” and that turned out to be true. That said, Arya may not have added Night King to her list but death works in mysterious ways and so it did. When Melisandre asks her, “What do we tell death?, she replies, “Not today,”. Fowling off she rushed off. At the moment we were not sure what she would be doing but it was certain that she is destined to perform an act for which Beric Dondarrion gave his final life.
Valar Morghulis ( All Men Must Die )
Well surely if not all, then atleast a great many men did die, among them warriors who died we saw some poetic deaths, some legendary one and some heroic. Some of the major ones were,
- Jorah Mormont
- Lyanna Mormont
- Dolorous Ed
Although we are left, deflated and depressed after watching this episode but without any doubt, we say that even with all that has happened, this episode has surpassed everyone’s expectations. One can always nitpick on the smaller aspects of this episode and criticize but that would be desperate journalism.
With all that said, a lot of us had a few concerns regarding this latest season to perhaps not reach the level of expectations, as we all have seen how the GOT’s plot derailed from its source material. However, after watching Episode 3 The Battle Of Winterfell of Game of Thrones Season 8, we can rest assure that the future episodes will also surpass any limitation anyone has ever had.
