Just yesterday, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan officially announced that it has finally ended the production of PS Vita in Japan. This announcement was through the official PlayStation website. So no more PS Vitas in the market, in fact, the last few in the Japanese market might already have been sold out, following this news.

CH-2000 ZA11 (PS Vita Black) and PCH-2000 ZA23 (PS Vita Aqua Blue) SKUs were only two models in production, for which the shipments the official pages have now ended. PS Vita first launched all the way back in 2011 and now after so many years, it has finally reached its end. This portable console as one might say had quite a run, with some stumbles along the way, it did make a name for itself.

Having said that for those, who are worried about Sony giving up on its portable gaming also considering this ended production of PS Vita by Sony, they need not worry as last year, Sony made an announcement declaring that they have not given up on portable gaming just yet. Furthermore, they also added that the reason they have had a back foot with the portable consoles was due to the success Vita was not able to reach and they had a few doubts about portable consoles.

Having said that although it has not been announced, Sony‘s new game cartridge is seemingly in the works. Which is some kind of assurance for the fans. So what are your thoughts regarding Ended production of PS Vita, by Sony in Japan? Let us know in the comments below.

I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
