Assassins’s Creed is Ubisoft’s biggest game series and there is no doubt about it, perhaps that is why fans go above and beyond about every inch of this game. So while fans are enjoying the latest Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, there might be a little good news and bad news for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed sequel. According to a recent rumor, it seems to be that the next Assassin’s Creed game is codenamed Legion and that it will not roll out this year but in 2020. The good news is as claimed, is that it will roll out on both current gen consoles and on next-gen consoles, both PS5 and Xbox Scarlett.

Now since this is a rumor we would suggest you take this with a grain of salt. That said, a lot of interesting details have also been added to this claim about the next Assassin’s Creed game. The game will be set in Italy in the time period of Marcus Aurelius, the Roman emperor, during the struggles of his son Commodus. Considering that turns out to be true, it would be somewhere between 161 AD and 192 AD. A good place to go to for the AC fans perhaps? Apart from that the rumor also attempts to claim that players will be able to play as Cassius or Lucia, who will be descendant of characters from Origins and Odyssey. Furthermore, the RPG elements will be similar to that seen in Odyssey with slight improvements.

The developer studio will the Ubisoft Sofia, which will be tieing up loose ends for this ancient trilogy and will be the first of its kind as one of the most intensive Assassin’s Creed game. As you can expect it will be touching some key history notes of Roman history, however as per the rumor, the main focus would be the politics with the first civilization, flashbacks and much more. Ubisoft will be trying to give the fans the old AC feels.
More details include:

– Map is mainland Italy and small part of Gaul and Germania like Libya in Origins
– Revised mercenary and cultist system. Big cultists and main story assassinations have those memory things

With all that said, let us add again that these claims are just mere rumors and perhaps speculation and should be treated as such. Which reminds us, back in August, we also reported a similar claim, which we researched and added more logic in claiming that the next Assassin’s Creed could be set in Feudal Japan. Now you might have heard of it before but definitely not like this. You know of the three symbols seen at various instances in Assassin’s Creed series. The first one being the Eye of Horus which relates to the Egyptian symbol, hence Assassin’s Creed Origins, then the second symbol, Omega, which relates to the Greek alphabet, hence Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and the third symbol resembles a similarity to the torii gate from Feudal Japan.

So, we can not be certain at the moment, what the next Assassin’s Creed game could be like but bets are it will be amazing.
