I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
Chances are you may already be playing Apex Legends the newly release Battle Royale game for if you have not then you are among the few people. The game has rolled out just a few days back and in just a matter of days, it has surpassed 10 million concurrent users. In fact, in just eight hours following its launch the game was able to explode by reaching the first million user mark. So for most of the audience, this comes pretty much as a surprise but the biggest surprise might be for Fortnite developers and even PUBG fans. Although at the moment Fornite might feel safe, with this increasing pace, the safety might not be guaranteed forever.
It is a known fact that Fortnite owns the market for Battle Royale genre and has been pretty much successful, holding the fort. However, this new Battle Royale by Respawn Entertainment, Apex Legends seems to add a few concerns following its user trend. Also provided the fact that this first-person shooter is set in the Titalfall universe, which itself is among the most interesting fact. For those who have played Titanfall know that it is one of the most amazing games out there and now a battle royale set it the same world, certainly spice things up.
The news of reaching 10 million concurrent users was announced by the Respawn CEO Vince Zampella himself in a blog post and later on Twitter. Which only adds on to the Battle Royale competition.

Zampella talking about Apex Legends and sharing the excitement said,
This has been a truly incredible journey. We tested and tweaked. We argued and agreed. We got to a point where we felt some magic. We knew it would be risky to take the franchise in this direction, to go free to play, and do a surprise launch. But we fell in love with Apex Legends and wanted, needed, other people to play it too.
What is interesting is the fact that until now the CEO has been very modest with the success of Apex Legends Battle Royale so far. He has shown a lot of appreciation to the fans as is very positive.
We hoped you’d love it as much as us, but never in our wildest dreams could we have expected the outpouring of support and positivity we’ve seen. From all of us at Respawn, thank you for giving us and Apex Legends a chance. Thank you for joining us on this journey. This is just the beginning! We have so much more in store for you this year.”
With all that said, even though this small scale success of Apex Legends might be something that Fortice should be worried about, for us it would be still too early to assume that it could measure up to Fortnite as a whole.
