I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
According to the co-directors of The Outer Worlds, the game will be getting mod support after launch. Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky said that although this mod support is not in development at the moment but rest assured it will be there following the game release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, he added that the studio is mulling over this support internally only for they are currently focused on finishing the game for release.
That said, even though the devs have not yet decided on what kind of support they will be adding to the game but expectations suggest that it could perhaps be similar to that of Fallout games.
We would love for players to be able to mod. We are going to look into that after we shit in terms of what kind of support we can have for it.
A lot of other things were also discussed in an interview, where on behalf of Obsidian Entertainment, Tim and Leonard promised the fans that this mod support that is being considered for The Outer Worlds will ensure that modders don’t have to finish it on their own. This can also be taken as a statement gabbing directly against Bethesda for it is pretty transparent, how they rely on their modders to finish the game.
Be that as it may, The Outer Worlds mods shall be a creation of the community and will be free of cost. Finally, we can say that the gaming industry is actually evolving for the better, at least in some aspects. The game upon its release will be available on Steam as well as on PlayStation Network and Xbox Marketplace. So when the game rolls out, pick your platform and pick your store. With all that said, how this mod support for The Outer Worlds actually pans out is what we will have to wait and see. You can certainly expect to hear more regarding it. If you remember the game was announced at the near end of 2018 and as soon as the announcement was made, it was also revealed that there will be no microtransactions in the game. So let us put that out of the equation.
The Outer Worlds is slated to release sometime this year across PS4, Xbox One and PC.
