While the fans are still enjoying Final Fantasy XIV, there is no chance at the moment for when will the next Final Fantasy Game rollout. This news comes directly from the director and producer of Final Fantasy XIV, Naoki Yoshida. At the Paris Fan Festival, a lot of questions were asked to which not many were answered for Yoshida added that this festival should be all about fun. However, he did add his take on what fans might expect for Final Fantasy 16 or Final Fantasy 17. Yoshida is of the opinion that until now Final Fantasy has had more focus on Machinery and Mecha while undermining the fantasy elements, now though he added that he would on a personal level, would like to focus more on fantasy elements rather than on Machinery and certainly not Mecha.

Talking about the hard questions thrown at Yoshida, he said,

“Huh? Hmm, you guys are asking some tough questions [laughs]. That’s funny, I thought FanFests were supposed to be fun, but here we are with this super hard question [laughs].

Then coming towards the more serious topic, the future Final Fantasy games, he said,

First, if you’re asking whether the Final Fantasy series will get another MMO soon, I think the chances are unlikely so long as Final Fantasy XIV is doing well. On that note, personally speaking, I’d like to see a Final Fantasy that is straightforward fantasy, one that doesn’t have much machinery, and with no mecha in it. After all, we’re having trouble with the Garlean Empire being too powerful. Ah, okay, that was a bad joke [laughs].”

So while it may take a little while before we actually get to see, Final Fantasy 16 or even 17 but we certainly can expect it to be more fantasy based than mechanical or mecha. Be that as it may, Final Fantasy 14 aka XIV is available on PS4 and PC, while Final Fantasy 15 recently had its farewell DLC Episode Ardyn also check that out.

I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
