An accountant by profession, but my knack for Movies and Gaming has never left the soul. Consider myself to be an old soul when it comes to playing games.I have a huge knack for fast cars and that is why i love Forza and NFS series. However i like to take out my frustration by killing zombies in Dying Light. A die heart fan of Call of Duty franchise. Gladiator & The Shawshank Redemption are eternal love and these are just the tip of the iceberg.
Metro Exodus is a game that has a massive following mainly because it is a sequel to a much appreciated Metro game series, however, all that love for the game might change if few things spiral out of control. Remember the recent news of Metro Exodus not making its way on the Steam market. Well, that situation just got interesting as just recently a developer form 4A Games appears to have threatened the Steam fans that if they were to boycott Metro Exodus, then the future PC version of this game might not even make it. Giving more hype to perhaps a Metro Exodus War over Steam.
This statement was made by a user “scynet” over at a Russian website, it has been translated for you to read.
“if at all all the PC players announce a boycott of the Metro, then the next metro, if it does, is definitely not on the PC. Better or worse, decide for yourself. I personally feel sorry for the loyal fans, yes. But my assessment of the work done personally by me and my friends and colleagues will not change this.”
A few days back an announcement by the Steam was made, in which it was revealed that Metro Exodus won’t make it on Steam but will be exclusively available to another PC store. Of course, Steam was not too happy with that and so are a lot of fans. On that very note, Metro community has been under a little unrest and confusion. And now with the threat of excluding the PC version of the game over a Metro Exodus Steam war, we can not make anything particular out of it.
Metro Exodus is one of the most anticipated titles slated to roll out, the devs have without any doubt worked really hard on this title. With all the hype following the release of the game trailer and now this War situation over Metro Exodus not being on Steam, it is perhaps sad to see a developer making such a threat.
With all that said, it is not something to be worried about in particular, for the most part, it is a publicity stunt, considering the game is slated to roll out on February 15, 2019 across PC, through Epic Games Store, and for Xbox One and PS4. The timing as you can see is a little too perfect.
