I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
For those who have been anticipating the release of the upcoming sequel to Metro series, Metro Exodus they should know that a little while back Epic Games and the publisher Deep Silver revealed that the game won’t be releasing on Steam. Rather it will exclusively be available on Epic Games Store, this decision they added was to make the game exclusive to this specific PC Store. What this means is that Steam won’t be able to put Metro Exodus on sale until 15th February 2020. That is one year time which is quite a wait for a game store. Moreover, for those who have already pre-ordered the Metro Exodus, they will have the game from Steam. For everyone else, it is available at Epic Games Store exclusively. The note was posted over at Steam by the studio head Gabe Newell.
Sales of Metro Exodus have been discontinued on Steam due to a publisher decision to make the game exclusive to another PC store.
Giving assurance to the pre-ordered Metro Exodus on Steam, the note added,
The developer and publisher have assured us that all prior sales of the game on Steam will be fulfilled on Steam, and Steam owners will be able to access the game and any future updates or DLC through Steam.
What really seems to have caught the attention is the fact that further down the same mentioned note, Valve has shared its response over this issue that they think it is unjust and unfair, let alone the addition of such a long-scale period.
We think the decision to remove the game is unfair to Steam customers, especially after a long pre-sale period. We apologize to Steam customers that were expecting it to be available for sale through the February 15th release date, but we were only recently informed of the decision and given limited time to let everyone know
So what we can assume is that Valve actually had very limited time to disclose this news of Metro Exodus not being on Steam. Perhaps that is why they were also not able to form properly. Well it is a million dollar business and Metro is a million dollar franchise, so the decision that reaps better benefits will be favored. Having said that Metro Exodus is the third sequel to the Metro franchise. The game is based on a novel series by Dmitry Glukhovsky. Metro Exodus is among the most anticipated games and now since the release date is just around the corner, such news will certainly take a toll on everyone. Every now and then developers have bestowed us with some really amazing trailers for this game to get an idea on what we can actually expect.
