For those who were excited about the upcoming Star Wars game might be happy to know that this major title which was under development at EA Vancouver has now been allegedly canceled and replaced with another smaller Star Wars title.

According to Kotaku sources, this major Star Wars title was code-named Orca, however not that matters since it has been replaced with a smaller scale Star Wars project at EA Vancouver.

Apparently, the reason for this replacement is the fact that when the EA’s top hierarchy took a thorough look at the road map for the coming years in regards to its development and noticed that they require something earlier to be released than the planned release for this major Star Wars title.

That is when they took the decision of replacing this title with a smaller one so that they are able to release a Star Wars title by late 2020. Having said that this complete news is based on a claim by a few sources, so we would recommend you to wait a little more. We will probably be hearing more regarding this Star Wars title.

With all that said, what is really interesting is the fact that the next-gen consoles both Xbox Scarlett and PS5 are slated to roll out sometime in 2020. However, it has not been officially declared but all of the references seem to suggest 2020 to be the year. So although this Star Wars title with shall release in 2020 might also be rolling out in the same year as that of the next gen consoles.

So the question is, will this game roll out on the present gen consoles or the next gen? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
