I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
As soon as Fallout 76 rolled out it had to face a few difficulties which did not seem to help the hype that Bethesda had built up. The fans were not too happy with what they had in their hands, for the most part, they did not know what to make of it. However, with the news of inclusion of lootboxes in Fallout 76, things seem to be taking a turn.
Now since this is a claim so we can not be 100% certain but according to a Reddit user, “despotak” there are few changes coming in the game’s next patches, as per game’s codes that is. All the while another user who goes by the name, “JesMaine” has also highlighted the inclusion of lootboxes in Fallout 76.
This is what “JesMaine” had to say regarding perk cards,
The files also point towards PerkCardPacks being removed with ATX attached. So were perk card packs actually supposed to be sold via the Atom Store? Are they just hiding the fact or are they going to put them back sometime around Christmas? I think this confirms why the Perk Card pack felt so lootboxy, it likely wasn’t a unique mechanic just one designed to be bought and gambled.
While regarding “Atoms” Fallout 76 in-game currency, Bethesda’s Pete Hines said in an interview that,
“Atoms are a thing that we use and hand out as you play the game, quite honestly we throw them at you all the time. So you get them as little rewards for leaving the vault or the first time you kill a creature or the first time you pick fruits or vegetables from somewhere – it’s a little challenge reward. Atoms are used in our shop to buy cosmetic things, so you know new outfits or skins and things like that.”
With all that said, we will still have to wait and see what the future patches actually bring. As for the success of Fallout 76, we have to add that even with huge anticipation and all, this game seems to still be overshadowed by the addictive Fortinite, especially after its Season five announcement.
So perhaps, adding lootboxes in Fallout 76, just might be the push required by this game. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
