A video report has been released by Microsoft insider Brad Sams in which few details about the next-gen Xbox have been given a touchdown. That includes the release year and the kind of technology it will be using. According to the report, the upcoming next-gen Xbox aka Xbox Scarlett will release in 2020.

Moreover, it will use Zen 2 and AMD‘s next-generation GPU technology. The aim of this new console would be to run games at 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. This also sets in line with rumors regarding Sony‘s next-gen PlayStation. For which it has been claimed that it will have the eight core Zen CPU a Navi-based GPU.

Also to consider, it seems to be that this time again AMD will be powering both the consoles. Apparently, it seems like Microsoft is taking a slightly varied approach towards Xbox Scarlett. The company will be releasing various types of hardware which shall enable the console to run games through the cloud.

Moreover, the company will be taking the digital distribution even further. That includes changes to the Windows store and Xbox App, all of which would be an attempt to develop a unified system. Also, Backward Compatability will be featured, which obviously does not come as much of a surprise, considering the increasing interest in Backward Compatability.

With all that said, bear in mind that all of this is based on a claim of a report, so we cannot be certain about anything at this point. However, we do know that Microsoft is in deep with the development of this new console. We have had a few job listings that do suggest that Xbox Scarlett will release sometime in 2020. Pretty much, same goes for PS5.

Having said that what are your expectations from the next-gen Microsoft’s Xbox? Let us know in the comments below.
