Debbie Vitany is among those parents who are struggling against the untreated Fortnite addiction. She has a 17-year-old son who apparently is a die heart fans of Fortnite. Well, that is no surprise, Fortnite is among those battle royale games, which gave birth to such style of gaming.

The parents of this untreated Fortnite addiction are now fed up with this. And now they have decided to treat this addiction by sending their kids to video game rehabs.

Debbie’s son, Carson has been logging in for more than 12 hours a day to play Fortnite. Where for hours long, he searched for more weapons and resources so that he is able to survive as the last person standing.

Moreover, according to his school teachers, Carson is reportedly been falling asleep in class and perhaps due to that, his grades seem to be affected.

However, Debbie did not lose hope and added that she has been able to cut down his Fortnite hours and because of that, he has been able to get better sleep. However, she also added that it is very difficult to keep tap in his routine and at moment’s notice, Carson slips back into his old and untreated Fortnite addiction.

Debbie Vitany, in an interview, said,

“We’d made some progress in getting him to cut down his Fortnite hours and get better sleep, but he’s slipped back into his old habits, I’ve never seen a game that has such control over kids’ minds.”

There is no argument there that Fortnite’s success comes from such addictions. Its Battle Royale version has made quite a penetration into the gaming market. Since this game rolled out, there have been multiple and various reports by parents, alleging the game to be a little too violent in its nature, affecting the emotional state of the young generations.

Talking about violence in video games, it is a whole new topic of its own. There have various debates, discussions, and researches, all of which attempt to discover the relation between the two.

Having said that not sure if you have heard or not but just recently Fortnite reached over 200 million players. Making it a billion-dollar business for Epic Games.

So what will become of this is uncertain but what is certain is the fact that parents won’t let this Fortnite addiction remain untreated. Video Game rehab is what they all have in mind.
