Shrek was an animation series which brought sheer love into the hearts of animation lovers. All of the four films in the series were a remarkable success. However, following the fourth part Shrek Forever After we did get to see makeovers of Puss in Boots and such but nothing like this, no. Shrek 5 as most of them are calling might not be what we expect it to be but it will rekindle the old love of the fans.

Yes, Shrek 5 is officially in the works but let it be known that it might not be the fifth part to this amazing series but a reboot altogether. And you know what a reboot actually is, so we can expect quite a lot of changes perhaps.

That said, Chris Meledandri, the man behind the much loved Despicable Me has now tasked himself with the task of reviving Shrek and Puss in Boots.

Furthermore, Universal Pictures is the studio working behind this Shrek 5. Having said that one thing Meledandri has made clear is the fact that he realizes that the vocal performances of characters in Shrek and Puss in Boots were the main attractions. And that is why he does not want to mess with it at all. Let’s hope he does not.

“When you look back on those vocal performances they’re awesome, and while you certainly could make a case for a complete reinvention, I find myself responding to my own nostalgic feelings of wanting to go back to those characterizations,” Meledandri said. “The challenge for us has been to find something that really does feel like it’s not simply yet another film in a series of sequels.”

The voice cast included Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Antonio Banderas. As for the lengthy cast, Meledandri says that he has all the intentions to bring the whole band together.

So overall, even though it is still a little too early to have high expectations but as of now, it does seem a promising Shrek Reboot.

I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
