If anyone thought that Rockstar Games is all done with Virtual Reality then they would be wrong because according to HTC who have previously worked with Rockstar to launch L.A Noire that came first on HTC Vive before it rolled out to Oculus Rift.

Joel Breton, GM of Vive Studios, talking about VR said that there has been quite a lot of work done on VR by developers like Bethesda, Ubisoft and Rockstar Games. He added that all of these studies have paved the way for other companies as well to work on VR ecosystem.

He said,

“So now everybody is out there building VR, unfortunately, it’s just not public yet,” he said. “So all of the third parties are working on VR now.”

The setting his focus on Rockstar Games, in relation to L.A Noire: The VR Case Files he said,

“That one, that was lovingly handcrafted,” he said. “They went through everything, every art asset, every animation. Any part of the game that didn’t work, they cut from the VR experience so things that ended up in those seven cases that are in the VR version, those were very very selectively chosen. They figured that would work.”

Following the conversation, Breton said that Rockstar Games work is not finished on VR.

“So, you know, they’re not done either,” “So we’re very very supportive of these studios both on the hardware side and the software side and the optimization side.”

So putting all that into context, could it be possible that the studio is already working on the VR adaptations of GTA V or the recently released Red Dead Redemption 2? Well if they are it would be an amazing experience.

I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
