I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
Cyberpunk 2077 is perhaps one of the most amazing games in production and where there is something amazing in the works, some questions and concerns are bound to be asked. However, it is reassuring to know that the devs are not afraid to address those question. Especially when they concern the Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay mechanics.
In a talk with gamingbolt, the level designer Miles Tost spared a few lines about the Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay. Regarding which he specifically added that CD Projekt Red specializes in handcrafted experiences. This he said in a response to the question he was asked about the inclusion of emergent gameplay mechanics.
Now another question that seems to concern the fans of this upcoming game, was that could the downgrade that struck The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt be the driving force behind this inclusion?
Upon being asked on whether there was any apprehension in the studio regarding the release of that 48-minute footage to the public, putting in context the controversy that has been surrounding them regarding The Witcher 3’s alleged downgrade. Tost said,
The demo gameplay video was recorded from a work in progress version of the game and we were a bit uncertain if we should release it to the general public as we didn’t want to commit to any particular design. A lot can change between now and launch, but you can be certain that we’re not going to release a game we’re not happy with.
Moreover, regarding the emergent Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay mechanics, he said that it would be too early to comment on that.
Too early to really talk about this. If it makes sense, and if we could pull it off in a way that feels organic and meets our quality standards, then maybe.
However, regarding the playtime of the game, he said that they are not going to artificially extend the playtime. As pushing more and especially useless content, can really take the soul out of the experience. And that is something they are not ready to compromise on.
But we’re certainly not going to be artificially extending the playtime by pushing more content into the game. If it can add to our story-driven experience in a meaningful way, we’re not closed off to anything. Personally, I think our strength lies in creating handcrafted experiences.
With all that said, Cyberpunk 2077’s release date is still not confirmed, however, there have been some rumors which seem to suggest Cyberpunk 2077 to roll out next year. Still, fingers are pretty much crossed over it.
