I have a lot of love for Movies especially science fiction however nothing beats the fun of sitting behind a screen and playing some hard core FPS games. Apart from them i am a major lover of Assassins Creed titles especially Brotherhood, The Witcher and God Of War. Huge fan of animation director Hayo Mayazaki.
Yes, the confirmation has been given, the guy who has been writing for Marvel, will not be writing for DC. James Gunn has recently signed a deal with Warner Bros. and DC to possibly work on the next Suicide Squad.
James Gunn is the one who has previously directed Guardians of the Galaxy, which was a commercial success. However, he was fired by Marvel after when his old, offensive Tweets resurfaced.
Apparently, this situation falls into the category, someone’s loss is another one’s gain. What Marvel lost, DC gained. And by gosh, DC seriously needs some help.
While Marvel has been nailing down the market in terms of popularity, DC was not able to even touch its success, let alone compete with it.
The last Suicide Squad was pretty much a failure. It actually went through some really harsh criticism.
Paul Asay of “pluggedin” said,
While it’s not quite as grim as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it’s even more problematic, and it’s certainly not the tonic that Warner Bros. hoped it would be.
While Sandie Angulo Chen, of Common Sense Media, also added that even though there was a list of the acclaimed talented cast it was an all-out disappointment.
Despite the talented cast and Robbie’s stand-out performance as Harley Quinn, this antihero story is a disappointment.
So perhaps now with James Gunn working for DC, perhaps things might turn out better, for the next Suicide Squad.
Having said that Angulo Chen mentioning Margot Robbie’s standout performance, we certainly can’t help but mention that Robbie is also being considered for a role of Barbie in an upcoming Barbie Movie.
Well if that takes place, it would definitely be a sight to watch. A talented actor in a role that perhaps no other could fit in perfectly. If you know what I mean.
