One of the most futuristic and indulging games of all times Cyberpunk 2077 is yet to be released, but its hype among the circles is through the roof. Recently Mike Pondsmith while in conversation at PAX West, confirmed that the developers had made many changes to the world and there is an Alternate Timeline In Cyberpunk 2077.

In reply to a question about the evolution of the world from 2020 to 2077, Mike said that he cannot share details but there is a difference in the timeline that the player will experience. Regarding other changes in the game, Mike’s response was, he cannot discuss them because the game is still in the production and for the obvious reasons.

Regarding the Alternate Timeline In Cyberpunk 2077 Mikes exact words go like this,

Let’s say that at this point, we plan to continue the timeline and you will see the things that you saw in 2020, but they will somewhat be changed. And that will affect both the timeline and also the fact that cellphones went from the size of the brick to the size your thump, and then again to the size of a brick. So you are going to see some shifts in technology.

It is understood that the changes which the developers have made, and will continue to make to the original story, city, technology, and other stuff, are the requirements of making the game work with the new and upgraded technology of the real world. As most of us have already watched the awesome 48 minutes of gameplay, we realize how the game has come up until now and how epic it will be when it gets finished.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a complex system yet very indulging. Not only the main story but the side quests are equally important in the main advance of the game. Players would see for themselves how things will move and change around them.
