It wouldn’t be wrong if we say that, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 just might be a new evolution in the gaming world. Much about this evolutionary game has rolled out following the games big reveal at the, E3 2018. Gaming community and CD Projekt Red fans all around the world are going insane, and are unable to wait for this possibly epic game’s release any more. Small details have been rolling out from time to time lately and among them, a recent one regarding the Cyberpunk 2077 Consequence System seems to suggest that it won’t be traditional like other games.

As we are all aware, the concept behind Cyberpunk 2077 is the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop RPG. Mike Pondsmith, creator of this tabletop RPG in a recent interview, explained that the Cyberpunk 2077 Consequence System resembles with that of Cyberpunk 2020. It will not be a traditional consequence system, rather the effect of players actions, decisions and choices will determine which way the game will go.

With a very detailed example, Pondsmith explained how the Cyberpunk 2077 Consequence System works. If a player kills a gang member in the game, this act will not be forgotten by the gang and they will make this their mission, to find the player and have their revenge. As in Pondsmith’s words, “That is realistic, that is the way things really go.”

Pondsmith further said:

Sometimes karma isn’t really meted out in a nice, neat ‘dark side, light side’ way. Sometimes it comes and bites you in the butt in ways you never expected. We were kidding the other day in the office about that moment when you’re driving on the freeway and somebody cuts you off, and you flip them off and then you go into the bank, and there’s the guy you flipped off behind the counter! This sort of stuff happens!

For those who are accustomed to CD Projekt Red’s previous epic and famous games like The Witcher, this type of system will not be a surprise for them. As said earlier, Cyberpunk 2077 is trying to make a difference by adding multiple new things for its valuable players.

With that said, the release date of the game is still a mystery. This first-person RPG Cyberpunk 2077 is being developed for three platforms Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
