An accountant by profession, but my knack for Movies and Gaming has never left the soul. Consider myself to be an old soul when it comes to playing games.I have a huge knack for fast cars and that is why i love Forza and NFS series. However i like to take out my frustration by killing zombies in Dying Light. A die heart fan of Call of Duty franchise. Gladiator & The Shawshank Redemption are eternal love and these are just the tip of the iceberg.
As you remember, a few days back Bethesda filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros. In the lawsuit, Bethesda claimed that Warner Bros and there Westworld game developer Behaviour Interactive has used the same source code which was used in there 2015 mobile game Fallout Shelter. They claimed this because Behaviour Interactive was there developer for Fallout Shelter back then and could have been involved in using the same source code. Now in reply to the Bethesda’s Westworld Lawsuit Warner Bros has spoken.
Warner Bros denies these accusations and says that the Westworld game is a completely new title with no source code or anything used from the similar styled game Fallout Shelter. Everything used is new and is not related to any of the Behaviour’s previously developed games.
The complete statement from Warner Bros goes like this.
As one of the world’s leading creators of intellectual property, including the ground-breaking television series Westworld, Warner Bros. has a deep respect for intellectual property rights. As such, the assertions by Bethesda Softworks that Warner’s Westworld mobile game improperly used source code from Bethesda’s Fallout Shelter are as surprising as they are unsubstantiated.
Warner Bros. has been assured by the game developer, Behaviour Interactive, that Bethesda’s allegations are untrue and that none of Bethesda’s code was used in the Westworld game. Moreover, contrary to Bethesda’s baseless accusation, Warner Bros. at no time ‘induced’ Behaviour to use the Fallout Shelter code in Westworld.
This is the first response from Warner Bros after the case was filed and Bethesda has yet to say anything on this. It would be too early to say anything regarding the results of the case or who is right and who is wrong. Both the parties in the lawsuit are kings of there own worlds. Only God knows what their clash will result in.
With that said, we will be updating more news in regards to this Bethesda’s Westworld Lawsuit as soon as it comes out.
