An accountant by profession, but my knack for Movies and Gaming has never left the soul. Consider myself to be an old soul when it comes to playing games.I have a huge knack for fast cars and that is why i love Forza and NFS series. However i like to take out my frustration by killing zombies in Dying Light. A die heart fan of Call of Duty franchise. Gladiator & The Shawshank Redemption are eternal love and these are just the tip of the iceberg.
There have been multiple rumors, leaks, and speculations right before the official release of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on E3 2018. As we fans now know that the new game has been officially revealed in this years recently held E3, and my gosh it is awesome. Apart from the beauty of the game and happiness of the new reveal, a lot of speculations were also raised in regards to many points and activities in the game.
Lots of changes are expected to be in the series. Many speculations are about the most famous, the iconic, most done activity in the game, the Leap Of Faith. It will not be the first time that there will be changes made to some fundamental activities of the game. In previous games, Leap of faith from any height would have killed the hero if not landed on anything soft like a heap of hay or water. In this Assassin’s Creed Odyssey “falling does cause damage, but is not fatal.”
It is still not clear how this is going to be executed, but you will agree with me that the previous leap of faiths and its consequences were very much blended with the reality and the feel was very subtle.
There is going to be a new leap of faith skill’s menu added and it will be the baseline ability, unlocked from the very beginning. With the increase in the level of skill’s the fall damage will considerably decrease to the extent, that death from fall will become impossible. Also for the swan dive-into-somersault fan the crazy animation is still present in the game.
Ubisoft has confirmed these changes on their blog saying “And then there’s Leap of Faith, which now not only lets you perform a classic swan dive from high places, but protects you from dying if you take a bad fall. Upgrade the ability, and the Spear of Leonidas’ power will keep you from ever taking falling damage again.”
In this Assassin’s Creed Odyssey we will travel back to 2500 years, which is the oldest ever the game has traveled in time, creating a stronger bond with the First Civilisation.
With all this said, the game is set to roll out on October 5 this year. In the meanwhile do tell us how you feel about the game and these recent changes in the comments section.
